Teflon (PTFE) is an extremely resilient plactic material, ideal for moving parts that require both high strength, low friction and durability over time. PTFE is an engineering thermoplastic with excellent chemical and thermal resistance and the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material. Unlike nylon it has very low moisture absorption, making it suitable also for applications in wet conditions. Typical applications include pump, valve and spacer components.
