Also know as polyether ether kethone, PEEK is a popular high strength plastic, often replacing soft metal components that require high strength and stiffness. It also has a very high resistance to heat, chemicals and moisture. It is one of the few plastics compatible with high vacuum environments, which makes it extremely suitable in aerospace, automotive, medical, semiconductor and chemical applications.
